MALONE, HAS PLEADED WITH Y'ALL, AND Y'ALL HAVE BEEN MORE THAN IN, IN MY OPINION, MORE THAN THE, UH, BENDING OVER TRYING TO HELP HER BECAUSE SHE'S ATTACHED TO THE HOUSE THROUGH SEVERAL ITERATIONS OF ATTEMPTING TO GET FUNDING AND, AND AND WHATNOT. AND THEN, THEN WE, WE CAME BACK IN JULY OF 2025. THEN DECEMBER 1ST, 2025, THEN DECEMBER 9TH, THEN FEBRUARY 2ND, THEN MARCH, THEN APRIL. AND THEN WE, IT GOT US UP TO MAY. AND OUR, OUR BUILDING INSPECTOR WENT OUT AND DETERMINED THAT WE HAD TO BE SOME BIGGER MAJOR, MORE [00:05:01] CONSTRUCTION TO REBUILD THE, THE UNDERPINNINGS TO, TO GET IT RIGHT. SO IT'S MORE THAN JUST THE ROOF. THIS IS THE NEXT MONTH. IT WAS ABOUT THIS TIME WHEN THE MORTGAGE COMPANY SAID, OKAY, WE'LL, WE'LL TRY TO HELP YOU HERE. WE ORDERED, UH, THE, UH, THEY ORDERED THE ENGINEERING REPORT AND, UH, AND GOT IT. THIS, SO THIS WAS LAST MAY 4TH AT THE MEETING. THIS WAS TODAY. AND THEN, SO IT'S, NOTHING'S CHANGED THAT WAY. SO THERE'S FOUNDATION PROBLEMS, WHICH MAKES, YOU KNOW, IT'S NOT SURPRISING CONSIDERING THE CONDITION OF ROOF AND HOW MUCH RAIN WE'VE HAD OVER THE PAST COUPLE YEARS THAT THE, THAT THE STRUCTURE JUST IS NOT REALLY SALVAGEABLE ANYMORE. UM, MY CLIENT MOVED, FIRST, TOOK A LOOK AT THIS ENGINEER REPORT, WENT TO THEIR VENDORS THAT DO PROPERTY PRESERVATION. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE'S JUST NO LONGER A PROPERTY TO PRESERVE OTHER THAN THE, THE, THE LOT ITSELF. AND THAT'S JUST KIND OF WHERE IT STANDS TODAY. UM, SO MS. FIRST IS KIND JUST TAKING POSITION THAT THE CITY, Y'ALL CAN DO WHAT Y'ALL DEEM AS RIGHT FOR THIS PROPERTY, FOR Y'ALL'S CITIZENS AND, AND, UH, AND UNDER YOUR ORDINANCES OF WHAT YOU WANT TO DO. UM, SO I CAN UNDERSTAND FROM THE CITY'S STANDPOINT OF THIS, BUT IN SOME REGARD, I FEEL LIKE WHERE I'M SITTING HERE RIGHT NOW, I'M SEEING THIS AND IT'S LIKE, WOW, THIS DECISION COULD HAVE BEEN MADE A LONG TIME AGO. HAD HAD I SEEN A LITTLE BIT MORE OF THIS, BUT ALSO AT THE SAME TIME, I KIND OF FEEL LIKE IN A WAY, UM, SHE'S, SHE'S HAD SOME LOOPHOLES TO GET THROUGH WITH A LOAN. SHE'S FINALLY GOTTEN THROUGH AND GOT SOME APPROVING AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE NUMBERS COME OUT TO AS TO WHAT, YOU KNOW, WHAT THE COST OF REPAIR IS VERSUS THE VALUE. BUT NOW THAT SHE'S SIGNED EVERYTHING BACK OVER TO THE MORTGAGE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH, NOW THE MORTGAGE COMPANY'S KIND OF BAILING ON THAT. AND NOW WE'RE BASICALLY LOOKING AT THE CITY TAKING ACTION TO DEMOLISH THE HOUSE. MAYBE IT NEEDS TO BE DONE. I JUST, I, I, IT, I DON'T KNOW. IT JUST DOESN'T, SOMETHING JUST DOESN'T FEEL QUITE RIGHT.
