MOST OF MY CITIES ARE, UH, SOUTHEAST TARRANT AND NORTH JOHNSON COUNTY CITIES.

UM, MY SPECIFIC ROLE IS TO BE THE LIAISON BETWEEN THE CITIES AND ENCORE TO TRY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS OR GET THROUGH ANY, UH, KIND OF SITUATIONS THAT, UH, SO THAT YOU WILL HAVE ME INSTEAD OF CALLING A ONE 800 NUMBER OR, OR I CAN HANDLE DIRECTLY.

UM, I'VE, I'M QUITE AWARE OF SOME OF THE PROJECTS THAT ARE KIND OF BEEN, UH, TALKING ABOUT DATA CENTERS AND OTHER KIND OF EDIFICATION, REV REVITALIZATION PROJECTS.

SO I TRY TO STAY AWARE WITH MY STAFF AND MY TEAM TO, UH, TO STAY AWARE OF THESE PROJECTS AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY GO ON WITHOUT A HITCH.

I TRY TO LET THE EVERYONE DO THEIR, DO THEIR JOB.

UM, BUT IF THERE IS A HICCUP IN THAT JOB, THAT'S WHERE I TRY TO COME IN AND TRY TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING GETS IRONED OUT.

UM, SO JUST, JUST, IT IS, IT IS NOT THAT WE ARE TRYING TO ALIENATE ANYONE, BUT WE ARE TRYING TO RESTORE POWER AS QUICKLY AND EFFICIENCY TO THE MASSES AS, AS, AS SAFELY AS WE CAN.

UH, Y'ALL MAY HAVE HEARD THAT JUST A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, UH, KALAHARI ANNOUNCED A, UH, SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 950 AND $975 MILLION HOTEL CONVENTION CENTER WATERPARK UP IN, UH, ALLEN.

AND SO, UH, AS RICK CAN CERTAINLY SPEAK TO BETTER THAN ME, THE, THE COMPETITION IS DEFINITELY INCREASING.

AND SO BECAUSE OF THAT, UM, WE WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS WITH YOU ALL SOME OPPORTUNITIES TO GET EPIC WATERS TO ALSO, UH, KIND OF COME ALONG WITH THE TIMES AND MAKE SOME, UH, EXCITING CHANGES.

SO WE GAVE THIS PRESENTATION TO FINANCE AND GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE, UH, TWO WEEKS AGO.

AND WITH THEIR APPROVAL, THEY, THEY, UH, HAD US COME HERE TONIGHT.

UM, PRIOR TO COVID, UM, WE ACTUALLY DID AN RFQ, UH, THE PARKS DEPARTMENT WORKED WITH AMERICAN RESORT MANAGEMENT, AND IN JANUARY OF 2020, AN RFQ WAS ISSUED FOR EPIC WATERS IN TERMS OF CREATING SOME MASTER PLAN OPPORTUNITIES ON WHAT COULD POTENTIALLY HAPPEN ON THE SITE.

UH, TO THAT RFQ, WE RECEIVED SEVEN SUBMISSIONS AND, UH, MARTIN AQUATIC DESIGN AND ENGINEERING WAS SELECTED AS THE MOST QUALIFIED TEAM BY THE SELECTION COMMITTEE.

SO IN JULY OF 2021 IS WHEN THEY STARTED THEIR MASTER PLAN DESIGN SERVICES.

SO ABOUT A YEAR LATER.

THEN IN JUNE OF 2022, THE MASTER PLAN PROCESS CONCLUDED, UH, THERE WERE, UH, MULTIPLE EXPANSION OPPORTUNITIES THAT WERE CREATED.

UH, THEY CAME UP WITH A VERY NICE PHASED APPROACH TO HOW IT COULD BE APPROACHED OR HOW IT, THE, THE PROJECT COULD KIND OF TAKE ON ITS LIFE OVER TIME AS FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES WERE THERE.

AND SO, UH, THE DISCUSSIONS REALLY GOT SERIOUS LAST, LIKE I SAY, LATE LAST SUMMER, UH, ON THE SCREEN, HOPEFULLY YOU CAN SEE THE MILES.
