AS I EXPLAINED BEFORE, WHEN OUR OWN HFC HAS INTERVENED AND GOTTEN THE LAND, AT LEAST OUR OWN HFC HAS BEEN PAYING US PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF TAXES. I BET WE HAVE EIGHT OTHER PROPERTIES IN TOWN THAT OUTSIDE THE CITY, HFCS HAVE PURCHASED NOT NEEDING ANY APPROVAL FROM THE CITY COUNSELOR, ANYBODY. AND THEY PURCHASE 'EM AND THEY IMMEDIATELY COME OFF THE TAX ROLLS. AS I'VE MENTIONED TO YOU IN PREVIOUS TIMES WHEN YOU BROUGHT THIS UP, WE ARE WORKING WITH AUSTIN FOR LEGISLATIVE RELIEF ON THAT TO ALLOW US TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THE RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL BEFORE A HFC FROM GARLAND OR WHEREVER IT CAN COME IN HERE AND BUY THE PROPERTIES WITHOUT EVEN ASKING US WHO AND WHEN PASSED THIS LEGISLATION.
