AS YOU KNOW, THE CITY OWNS AND OPERATES TWO GOLF COURSES.
TANGO RIDGE IS AN 18 HOLE PREMIUM GOLF COURSE THAT FEATURES HILL COUNTRY STYLE ELEVATION CHANGES AND TREE LINE FAIRWAYS.
THE COURSE ALSO INCLUDES A DRIVING RANGE, A CLUBHOUSE WITH FOOD AND BEVERAGES, AS WELL AS A PRO SHOP.
AND PRAIRIE LAKES IS UNIQUE WITH ITS THREE NINE HOLE COURSE THAT OFFER A FUN YET CHALLENGING ROUND OF GOLF AT A VERY AFFORDABLE RATE.
IN ADDITION, COURSE AMENITIES INCLUDED DRIVING RANGE, LARGE PRACTICE, PUTTING GREEN TOURNAMENT PAVILION, A CLUBHOUSE WITH PRO SHOP AND OTHER BRAND NEW GOLF, FOOD AND BEVERAGE PROVIDERS.
WE ALSO HAVE A, A, A BRAND NEW FOOD AND BEVERAGE PROVIDER, WHICH IS CROWN'S BARBECUE.
IN THIS PRESENTATION, WE WILL SHARE THE FISCAL YEAR 24 AND REVIEW FOR OUR GOLF DIVISION.
THAT INCLUDES INFORMATION ON FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS, COURSE RANKINGS, ROUNDS PLAYED, AND OF COURSE THE GOLF FUND FINANCIALS.
AND I'M VERY HAPPY TO REPORT THAT OUR GOLF DIVISION IS CURRENTLY ON TRACK TO HAVE ITS THIRD CONSECUTIVE PROFITABLE YEAR.
WE'LL ALSO BE LOOKING AT OUR MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE FOR, FOR BOTH COURSES THIS YEAR TO ENSURE THAT WE ARE OPTIMIZING OUR RESOURCES AND OPERATING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.
AT THIS TIME, I'D LIKE TO INTRODUCE STEVEN BOWLES, OUR FISCAL MANAGER, AND PAT FURY, OUR BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER.
I WILL GO AHEAD AND GO INTO THE GOLF FUND OVERVIEW.
OUR PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS FOR TANGO RIDGE GOLF CLUB AND PRAIRIE LAKES GOLF COURSE AND PRO SHOP OPERATIONS AT PRAIRIE LAKES.
THIS YEAR AT PRAIRIE LAKES, WE HAD OVER 52,428 ROUNDS OF GOLF PLAYED.
AT TANGO RIDGE, WE HAD 41,703, UH, GOLF ROUNDS PLAYED.
THE FUN SUPPORTS THE FOLLOWING PERSONNEL 20 FULL TIME, 22 PART-TIME, AND 16 SEASONAL.
THIS FUND IS AN ENTERPRISE FUND.
SOME OF OUR GOLF FUND HIGHLIGHTS THAT INCLUDED THIS YEAR.
TANGO RIDGE WAS NAMED THE 19TH BEST GOLF COURSE IN TEXAS BY EMBASSY GOLF.
NOW, TANGO RIDGE ALSO WAS NAMED THE SEVENTH BEST PUBLIC GOLF COURSE IN EAST DFW REGION BY AVID GOLFER MAGAZINE.
WHILE PRAIRIE LAKES EARNED HONORABLE MENTIONS, WE ESTABLISHED A NEW VENDOR AT PRAIRIE LAKES GOLF COURSE, WHICH IS CROWN'S BARBECUE.
WE COMPLETED RENOVATIONS TO THE KITCHEN AND REPLACEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AT PRAIRIE LAKES.
WE ADDED A NEW PATIO DINING AREA AT PRAIRIE PRAIRIE LAKES.
WE ALSO DID ROOF REPLACEMENT AND PARKING LOT ENHANCEMENTS AT PRAIRIE LAKES.
AT TANGO RIDGE, WE, WE GOT A NEW ENTRY GATE.
WE DID ROOF REPLACEMENTS AND ALSO ENHANCED OUR PARKING LOT.
NOW I'M GONNA TURN IT OVER TO STEVEN BOWLES, WHO WILL GIVE US OUR GOLF FUND FINANCES.
UH, ON SCREEN YOU'LL SEE KIND OF A 30,000 FOOT OVERVIEW.
YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE A FULL FUND SUMMARY THERE, UM, ON THE DESK IN FRONT OF YOU.
UH, OVERALL, BOTH GOLF COURSES PERFORM VERY WELL.
YOU'LL SEE TOTAL REVENUES BETWEEN THE TWO COURSES.
THAT SPLIT ALMOST RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE BETWEEN THE TWO COURSES ON REVENUES.
ON THE EXPENDITURE SIDE, UH, 3.38 MILLION WAS THE TOTAL EXPENSES.
UM, AGAIN, SPLIT PRETTY EVENLY.
THAT LITTLE GREEN SLICE YOU'LL SEE IS OUR GOLF OPERATIONS, UH, ACCOUNT, WHICH IS, UM, EXPENSES THAT DO COVER THINGS AT BOTH GOLF COURSES, NOT, UM, NOT INDIVIDUALLY.
UH, BOTTOM LINE IS THAT NET REVENUE FOR FY 24 WAS OVER $400,000 SOLIDLY IN THE BLACK WITH THE COST RECOVERY OF 114%.
UM, SO GOLF WAS COMPLETELY SELF-FUNDED.
UH, AS RAY MENTIONED, THIS WAS THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW THAT BOTH COURSES WERE IN THE BLACK.

I, I WOULD MAKE ONE CHANGE IN THAT AN ENTERPRISE FUND ISN'T NECESSARILY SET UP TO MAKE MONEY.
AN ENTERPRISE FUND IS SET UP TO HAVE ITS OWN FUNDS AND WE CHOOSE SOMETIMES TWO SUPPLEMENT ENTERPRISE FUNDS.
THE GOAL AS WE ALL OWE IS THAT HAVE A MEDIUM BETWEEN TRYING TO HELP IT BE SELF-SUPPORTING AND YET NOT OVERCHARGE OUR CITIZENS.
SO ONE CAN SAVE THE LIBRARIES IN ENTER ENTERPRISE TIME, BUT WE'RE NEVER GONNA MAKE MONEY IN THE LIBRARY.
BUT IT IS, I THINK WE DO KEEP IT AS A SEPARATE FUND.
OR DO WE, I DON'T THINK WE DO, BUT THERE'S PROBABLY SOME EXAMPLES.
OUR AIRPORT, LIBRARY, AIRPORT PART OF THE FUND.
