THE NEXT ITEM IS ITEM NUMBER SEVEN, TM 24 0 9 0 0 0 9, WHICH IS A TEXT AMENDMENT TO OUR UDC, ARTICLE EIGHT, SECTION 16 REGARDING TREE PROTECTION AND MITIGATION.SO THIS REQUEST IS TO ESTABLISH HOW THE URBAN FOREST FUND, WHICH IS BASICALLY A COLLECTION OF ALL THE TREE MITIGATION FEES FROM THE DEVELOPMENT REQUESTS CAN BE SPENT TO, UH, PLANT AND CARE FOR THE TREES IN PUBLIC SPACES, PARKS, AND CITY OWNED PROPERTIES.
SO WE ARE REMOVING SOME LANGUAGES THAT, UH, PROHIBITS THESE MONIES FROM BEING SPENT, UM, ELSEWHERE OTHER THAN, UH, PLANTING OF TREES.
AND THEN WE ARE ACTUALLY ADDING MORE LANGUAGE TO CLARIFY.
THE, THE FUNDING CAN, UH, BE USED FOR PLANTING, REPLACING TREES AND TO, UH, INSTALL IRRIGATIONS AND TO REPAIR THEM AND TO FUND THE TREE MITIGATION STUDIES.
THIS CLEANUP ALSO INCLUDES A FEW MINOR CLEANUPS, SUCH AS DEFINING A PUBLIC TREE, ADDING MORE, UH, UNPROTECTED TREES AND ADDING CLARIFYING LANGUAGE, WHICH I'LL POINT OUT.
THE NON DISTURBANCE AREA SHOWN WITH THE LOWER CASE HERE WILL BE ALL UPDATED WITH, UM, UPPER CASES FOR THE N AND D AND DA TO MATCH OUR DEFINITION.
