BUT ONCE WE GOT IT INTO GRAND PRAIRIE, WE WERE ABLE TO GIVE THAT BACK TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD, UH, A PARK THAT I GREW UP IN AS A CHILD, UH, TO GET RID OF THE DRUGS AND PROSTITUTION, GIVING IT BACK TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD. UH, AND THEN NOW WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF REVITALIZING IT, WHICH IS THE NEIGHBORHOOD LOVES THAT. NOW THEY GET TO BRING THEIR KIDS, THEIR GRANDKIDS, THEIR GREAT GRANDKIDS. SO IT'S THINGS LIKE THAT, THAT I CAN GIVE BACK, THAT I CAN REPRESENT, THAT I CAN DO OTHER THINGS THAT MORE THAN WILLING TO DO SOMETHING THAT WAS, UM, THE TORCH, I I SAY, WAS PASSED ON TO ME FROM MY PARENTS, UH, SINCE THEY'VE BEEN INVOLVED, UH, FOR MANY YEARS AND ME TRYING TO GET MY KIDS INVOLVED. UH, AND THAT'S GONNA TAKE A LITTLE TIME, BUT OVERALL, I THINK, UH, THE CITY, UM, THIS HAS BEEN A ONE-OFF AS FAR AS A NEW CHALLENGE, UH, FOR ME. AND, AND I LOVE A GOOD CHALLENGE. UM, YOU KNOW, IT MAKES THINGS EXCITING. IT'S EXCITING THAT LIKE WHEN WE WERE JUST HERE COMING OUT LATE, BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH, AND THE MAYOR SAID THIS, EVEN THOUGH WE MAY NOT AGREE, EVEN MAY, EVEN THOUGH WE MAY, AND WE'LL BUMP HEADS, UM, WE DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF Y'ALL, FOR THE LOVE OF OUR COMMUN COMMUNITY, UH, WE DON'T THINK OF OURSELVES.
